Dimensions

Dimensions

Dimensions is an exhibition dedicated to Takashi Murakami’s newly discovered postmodern movement known as superflat. Superflat art and the kawaii aesthetic it reappropriates is a means to examine many aspects of Japanese culture and self-perception. But forefront in the work of Takashi Murakami is a preoccupation with the past and how the Japanese choose to view and confront it.

This imagined exhibition attemtpts to create an event surounding Takashi Murakami’s superflat series. Required items to create a realsitic exhibition includes an invitation, a save the date, a RSVP, along with guest, staff, and VIP passes. To keep up with the technological age, an app wireframe was created for the event as well as a social media presence.
