The mission of the Hawaiʻi Labor Relations Board is to organize public unions, as well as to enforce and protect the rights of unionized employees (state and county workers). The board bargains collectively in balance with the employer’s rights to manage operations as provided by law to fairly and efficiently resolve labor disputes brought before it. Within this identity, aspects of protection, knowledge, judgment, justice, authority, employers, employees, and most importantly, the public interest is represented.
